It's a port

Let me just start this out by saying that most of my enjoyment in this game is based only on the fact that I have not seen or touched it in a billion years. Technically speaking, this is just another good ol’ port of a Nintendo game (we haven’t seen that before… right…. right?!). With that being said, I am thoroughly enjoying this game! The game may be a port, but they did take the time to add in a few 3DS specific features that are easily the icing on the cake. Here are the newly added features:

Improved graphics (I thought I was going crazy… I didn’t remember link being so detailed on the N64).
Seamless motion controls that allow you to fire projectiles or view your surroundings in a very fun and accurate way.
A nifty touch screen menu that also includes two touch screen based equip slots. You can now have three items mapped to buttons and two items mapped to the touch screen.
Boss challenge mode. You can now go back and settle the score with any boss you’ve brushed shoulders with!
The master quest. Try your luck in a “mirror flipped” world with more challenges than the original adventure.
3D visuals (meh…).

I realize that I may be a tiny bit pessamistic about the 3D technology but in my honest opinion the 3D is the one feature that I’ve used the least out of any other feature on this device. Every once in a while I turn it on, but I find myself becoming tired of it and disabling it after a while. Maybe it’s just me, but I just can’t get into the 3D. The 3D in this game is very cool and it’s a fun new way to view the Zelda universe… It just isn’t for me.

I wanted to show you some gameplay but after searching the youtubez I realized that nobody had any “legit” footage on it yet. I took the liberty of showing off some of the new features in my own home-made video for your viewing pleasure . That’s right… feel special! On a side-note, it was really difficult to hold my phone and play all at once so stop your judging…. I see you judging…. so stop!

For those of you who are still awake after watching my video, I very strongly suggest that any fans of Zelda snag a copy of the game right away. I’m gonna go get my Link on.
